Weddings

As an independent celebrant, I create and lead wedding ceremonies that are personal, thoughtful and full of warmth. Your ceremony may be joyful, tender, funny, reflective, traditional, unconventional, or, as is often the case, a little of all those things. What matters is that it feels true to you.

A ceremony that feels like you

Every couple has their own story, their own vibe, their own humour, and their own way of being together. My role is to listen carefully, to understand what matters to you, and to help you to shape a ceremony with honesty and care that reflects your relationship.

You may want to include familiar wedding traditions, such as vows, readings, music and the exchange of rings. You may also want to include symbolic rituals such as handfasting/knot tying ceremony, a quaich, a ring warming, a wine box, or something created especially for you.

Family members, children and friends can also be involved in ways that feel natural rather than forced. A good ceremony does not need to be stiff or predictable. It can hold laughter and seriousness, memory and hope, tenderness and celebration.

Creating your ceremony

We will begin with an initial conversation to see whether I am the right celebrant for you. After that, I will guide you through the process with planning conversations, questions, ideas and support as the ceremony takes shape.

I can help with vows, readings, music, blessings, symbolic rituals and the overall tone of the ceremony. I will write a fully personalised script for you, with space for revisions, so that by the time your wedding day arrives, the ceremony feels carefully prepared and genuinely yours.

On the day itself, I will arrive early, liaise with your venue or other key suppliers where needed, and lead the ceremony calmly and confidently, so that you can be fully present to the moment.
